Based in Atlanta Georgia, OrchestraONE_Studio is an interdisciplinary design and fabrication office. Whether its architecture, object & furniture design, spatial installations, graphics or fabrication, we approach each project with the same amount of passion. It is our belief that architecture and the objects that surround us have the potential to enhance our daily experiences - both visually and physically. As a practice, we are formed by a design philosophy where the construction carries an outward narrative and expresses its potential openly. As a result, we have a passion for finding innovative designs through programmatic and tectonic solutions. We view every commission as a new challenge and work to preserve the intricacies of each spatial and material connection. As an office that is accompanied by a full workshop, we not only pursue our initial ideas through hand drawings, 3D models, renderings and augmented reality, we also work with physical models and fabricate about 90 percent of our objects, furniture and installation commissions. We look forward to making our future projects functional and beautiful for both our clients and the people that will experience them.
Tim Keepers founded OrchestraONE Studio with a holistic approach to contemporary architectural thinking. He believes in meaningful interactions between materials with an integrated outlook on buildings and the objects that fill them. Tim received his master’s degree in architecture from USF's SACD in Tampa FL, where his thesis led him to develop a series of design and site-responsive structural profiles and wall systems of pultruded FR plastics (FRP) for a prefabricated housing company in Milwaukee Wisconsin. For the past seven years, Tim has worked on ground-up projects with award-winning firms including West Architecture Studio, Gensler, 5G Studio Collaborative and currently
BLUR Workshop. He has played an integral role in a wide variety of projects including shipping container installations, interactive expo buildings, modern waterparks and contemporary residences, enabling him to gain experience with unconventional materials such as ETFE roofs, cold-formed bent glass, cable suspended structures and 60- foot green walls. Tim’s work has earned national and international awards and has been displayed at events as well as art/design galleries.
Tim is a sitting design juror for the architecture programs at Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State University, and he holds a founding chair position as the program director for the Museum of Design Atlanta’s (MODA) design professionals group, TOAST MODA as well as the social committee at Habitat For Humanity. Furthermore, Tim serves on the directing advisory board for EAZEL, a New York based company that provides a look into the worlds art galleries and their archives through a spherical and virtual reality platform.
Before his career in architecture, Tim participated on the World Wakeboard Association’s (WWA) professional wakeboard tour for five years. He also competed internationally, traveling to Spain and Australia as a member of the IWSF U.S. Olympic Wakeboard Team.
